PIA is pleased to announce an outstanding opportunity for you to receive hands-on, how-to training that you can immediately put to work back at your office!

CPIA 1 –Position for Success

Course objectives:During this program, participants are encouraged to focus on internal and external factors affecting the development of effective business development plans. Factors discussed include a review of the state of the insurance marketplace; analysis of competitive pressures; necessary insurance carrier underwriting criteria; and consumer expectations and understanding. Throughout each section of the workshop material, tips for preventing Errors & Omissions are highlighted and discussed.

Insurance Success Seminars and the CPIA designation are developed by the American Insurance Marketing and Sales Society (AIMS). These courses are designed for company and agency sales managers, high-performing producers, new producers who want to jump start their careers, and anyone who wants to ignite a sales fire within their organization.

Can’t attend all three sessions as scheduled? Each session is approved for 7 hr. CE credit and serves as a stand-alone course that provides valuable information for your agency. While you must attend all three sessions to earn the CPIA designation, you DO NOT need to take all three sessions in order—simply catch the course you missed the next time it is offered!

The designation does require a biennial update. This update requirement can be satisfied through participation in any one of the three core Insurance Success seminars, participation in any one of the Advanced Insurance Success seminars, or by maintaining individual or group membership in AIMS (You must notify PIA if you are an AIMS Member).

This year’s seminars will be presented by Steve Becher, CIC, CPIA. Steve is the Executive Director of the PIA of North Dakota. Prior to joining PIA, Steve was a teacher and coach. He also spent 18 years in the property/casualty business as an agent and later as agency manager of an independent insurance agency in West Fargo, ND. Steve consistently receives high reviews for educational classes, including the CPIA seminars.

The 2020 CPIA seminars are scheduled as follows:

CPIA2:  Tuesday, February 18, 2020

CPIA3: Tuesday, March 17, 2020
