PIA Agency Membership


Thank you for your interest in becoming a new PIA of Minnesota Agency Member! Please read the information below before completing your application. For assistance, please call us at 952-512-2000 (Toll Free: 866-694-7070). 

*To make things easier/quicker for you, our database will try to match your information to one of our current records. To see if we already have your agency record on file, please type in your agency name in the "Business Name" field below. You will need to enter the full name and email address of the primary agency contact before continuing to the next page. 

  • If the agency name and city that populate from our records do not match your agency, please do not select that record as it will alter our records. Instead, please continue entering your agency contact information in the requested fields to create a new record. Do not select/alter the record of a similar agency - you must manually enter your contact information to create a new record if your agency is not on file (or call us and we can help!). 
  • If the agency name and city match, you may select that record. Please update any information if needed but note that any changes you make will update your record in our database. 

*Required Information is marked with a red asterisk (*) and the field must be filled in or you will not be allowed to submit your application. If the field does not apply to your agency, type in "N/A" or "0". 

*The top portion of the form (Individual Information) should include the contact information for the Agency primary contact (Principal/Owner). The Business Information portion of the form should include the general contact information for the Agency (if different from the Individual Information). 

*Please provide email addresses for all covered members/licensees so that those individuals can access their PIA of Minnesota member benefits (registration discounts, members-only webinars, access to the Info Hub Member Resources, etc.). 

*Any specific Business Categories/Specialty areas you select will be included as search options in the "Find An Agent" public directory on our website.   

*Please select "Invoice Me" at the bottom of the form if you wish to pay by check (please include invoice with your check payment, if possible).

*Please confirm that your contact information is accurate (with correct spelling and punctuation) prior to submitting your application/creating your record.

NOTE: PIA dues are not deductible as charitable contributions for income tax purposes. However, 82.5% of your dues may be deductible as a business expense.

$370 - Base Agency Membership Dues (includes up to two licensed principals/licensed employees from the same primary agency location). 

If you wish to pay by check please select the Invoice Me option.

***Additional Charges to Base Membership Dues***

$25.00 - Per additional licensed agency employee at primary location (beyond the two included in base Membership dues). 

$50.00 - Per additional agency location (includes one licensee at that location). 

$25.00 - Per additional licensee at each additional location (beyond the one included in the Additional Location fee).

Membership Classifications: Active Agency Members are persons actively engaged as a licensee in the independent insurance agency or brokerage business. All active members have full voting rights.
